The exhibition presents Olesia Bieliavtseva’s series of paintings created in 2020-2021. In this series, she shows her impressions during the time of the pandemic. The bull as the main hero of these paintings has a symbolic meaning. He is a symbol of power and danger. The bull has a connection with Olesia’s homeland. She is originally from the region of Crimea - the former name of Crimea is "Taurida", which translates as a "Taurus" - Bull.  That is why the bull takes on the meaning of a totem, which connects with the homeland. It acquires the meaning of an alter ego. These works were also inspired by the aesthetic of bullfighting, which is beautiful and dangerous at the same time. This series shows different emotional states and life experiences. Sometimes you need to fight and sometimes you just need to observe the situation. That’s why the bull is also changing his character. In some paintings he is aggressive and dangerous, and in others he becomes less aggressive and more peaceful.
